I received my Ph.D. in Financial Economics from BI Norwegian Business School in the AY 2024/2025.
I study household finance, behavioral finance, and sustainability, with a particular focus on how early-life experiences and individual financial expectations shape economic behavior.
In my primary research, I examine how formative experiences influence long-term financial behavior. For example, I show that parental death during childhood reduces stock market participation later in life, with the effect primarily explained by differences in cognitive abilities, risk attitudes, and financial distress.
I also investigate how financial expectations interact with sustainability preferences, finding that individuals with pessimistic views about their financial future are less likely to support costly climate measures, despite similar levels of concern about climate change.
Prior to concluding my PhD, I worked as an ESG analyst and research consultant.
